You CAN Change the World

If you’re like me, you can tend to believe that it’s impossible for you personally to change the world.  I mean, I’ve never written a book. Heck, I’ve never even written a song.  I haven’t started a charitable foundation. Wait, I haven’t even set up a GoFundMe account for someone!

BUT, I’m wrong.  We CAN change the world. It starts with one small act of love.  Love changes everything. You can change the world starting with the people you encounter every day. When my sister Rhoda helps a friend battling cancer by sitting by her side during chemo and cooking her healthy soup, she’s changing that friend’s world. When my husband Glenn shows me love and grace when I’m sleep-deprived, cranky and unreasonable, he changes my world. When my mom lovingly cares for my dad with MS, without complaining, she changes his world. When you choose to forgive a co-worker or someone who cuts you off in traffic, you change the world.

We may not become the kind of world-changers they build monuments to, but we can, in our still, small ways, change the world every day!

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

I Corinthians 13:13
