Phase

As the world tries to quickly unfold out of a time of quarantine, the word phase is often used to denote who can do what. Haircuts are a hot commodity, gyms are tricky , and a dining out experience is appreciated more than ever. Every person and family is in their own different phase, regardless of the CDC requirements. It’s a comfort level thing.  Even shopping for essentials can be a challenge. I ran into a friend at Trader Joe’s The other day, she had one child in a front pack and two more in tow, no one was wearing a facemask. About half the shoppers were face mask-less. My family is in the phase of mandatory face mask wearing. We are all in our personally mandated phases. When prayerfully considering God’s will daily he does not want us to operate with a spirit of fear. I pray for wisdom. I often question the source of information I say when another Covid -19 statistic or quote is brought to me, if it ain’t from the CDC, I’m not buying it. God is the way, the truth and the light, our source. Psalm 23:6 reminds us now, and in all future phases, that God is good at being God.
   Psalm 23:6
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
