Hope FULL
Last minute gifts, store bought appetizers and batteries could be on anyone’s list of Christmas busyness. There’s always a lot to do and this season offers a double dose of options. It offers a double dose of goodness too. Christmas is an opportunity to decorate, celebrate and pause to give thanks for the love, hope and joy found in Jesus – our Savior and friend. As we exchange gifts with loved ones, it is out of remembrance of the gift God gave us in Jesus. The gift that we are loved, are never alone and can have hope for the future.
Fish Christmas wishes offer a lot of hope. It’s a privilege to meet people who feel led to grant a wish. At a Chik fil la live broadcast in Hapeville a mother named Leticia asked her husband and three teenagers to get up early and travel 30 minutes so she could grant a wish for someone else on her birthday. Is that a beautiful heart or what! One of her teens is autistic and this mother found a Fish Christmas Wish for another family with an autistic child to bless. At a broadcast in McDonough, a 5th grade Ambassador from Union Grove Elementary school inspired us with the good she does in her school and a grandmother from Mexico found a wish from another family from Mexico struggling to get settled in Atlanta. She tearfully, joyfully doubled their request for assistance. Hope is in the air! And that’s what Christmas is about Charlie Brown.
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15 (NIV)
