Putting Away the Christmas Decorations

Is there anything sadder than putting away the Christmas decorations? All of the fun, anticipation and excitement is boxed up and stored away for another year. Honestly, it is one of my least favorite of all of the items on the ‘honey-do-list’!

Now I know we can’t live in a candy cane, flying reindeer, Santa Claus world 365 days a year, but we can try to keep what really makes Christmas special alive in our hearts. That spirit of kindness and compassion that burns so brightly between Thanksgiving and December 25th doesn’t have to be packed away with the 15 foot tall inflatable Snoopy you had in your front yard! (Why can’t we keep those up all year? Really?)

God doesn’t pack away His giving heart on December 26th. He doesn’t box-up the opportunity to give and receive forgiveness on New Year’s Day. God gives His Grace and Mercy just as freely January through October as he does during the Holiday Season. It is available always and everywhere to the heart that is open and receptive.

So while you put away those last few decorations, keep the spirit of Christmas, of the Babe born in Bethlehem that went on to save the world, alive and burning bright in your heart!

  1. I have been surfing online greater than 3 hours as of late,
yet I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like yours.

It is pretty price sufficient for me. Personally, if all web owners
and bloggers made excellent content material as you did, the internet shall be a
lot more helpful than ever before.
